Sandra Ugalde of the University of Tarapaca is the leader for this project. The project's objective is, using Vetiver Phytoremediation Technology, to clean contaminated water for use in irrigation and to increase productivity in
Arica and Parinacota Regions of Chile. Funding is provided by the Foundation
for Agriculture Innovation ( FIA) and the Ministry of Agriculture. Details are at English Spanish. It will be interesting to follow this trial. Dick Grimshaw
