Vetiver strips, 1 meter long, can replace individual planting slips

Vetiver strip planting is popular on some sites.  The strip, that is created from 12 slips planted close together in 1 meter long half pipe section, is a length of intertwined vetiver roots that can be easily handled and planted directly at the application site.  Can be a useful approach for planting vetiver on steep slopes.  Its rathe like a "sod" planted hedgerow.

Criss Juliard has written up some practical notes on vetiver strip production that can be found on the VTNI website that could be very useful for those who would like to produce these strips
