Vetiver web sites for Africa

It is really good to see the expansion of the Vetiver System in Africa.  There are three websites that have particular focus on Vetiver for Africa that you will find helpful and that could be shared with potential Vetiver users.

Madagascar Vetiver gives a good and growing representation of applying Vetiver in wet tropical Africa.  The website is managed by Yoann Coppin, current holder of the  Vetiver Champion award.

Vetiver Senegal provides information on the use of Vetiver in semi arid Africa. There are two links, Vetiver Senegal Blog and Vetiver Senegal Face Book. These sites are managed by Tony Cisse who farms and applies VS in the Cape Verde area of Senegal.

PLUS Kenya - Platform for Land Use Sustainability - centered on Kenya, devotes a large part of its effort to developing Vetiver in Easter Africa, both highland and lowland. The site is developing and should be a useful source of Vetiver information for central and eastern Africa. Jane B. Wegesa is chairperson and she works closely with Elise Pinners (TVNI director based in Kenya).

If any one knows of other Vetiver Internet sites please let me know.  It would be good to see some new Internet sites for countries like Malawi Zambia, Nigeria, and Ethiopia amongst others.  A good site attracts interested users and helps expand the use of this unique plant. Africa needs Vetiver for its many applications, its low cost, its easy to use, and it works when correctly applied
